Learn About the Early Assessment Program (EAP)

The Early Assessment Program (EAP) was developed to provide CA high school students an early signal and opportunity to enter any of the 23 CSU campuses ready to begin college level coursework. Humboldt State University, in collaboration with the California State University (CSU) system, aims to provide students information about EAP, advisement on their test results, and information about satisfying the CSU placement test requirement in order to provide prospective students a successful transition to the university.

This Early Assessment Program (EAP) is an academic preparation program to help high school students meet college readiness standards in English language arts and mathematics before admission to any of the 23 CSU campuses. EAP results are also used for placement at all CSU's and many California Community Colleges. It is a statewide program developed by the California Department of Education, State Board of Education, and the California State University system for all California public high schools.
